Adviser-level distribution view

Advisers at FAPs that disclose Select

12 NZ Financial Advice Providers have disclosed Select in their public Product Disclosure Statement product panel, collectively employing 75 individual advisers across 13 cities. For the FAP-level roll-up (one row per firm), see the parent Select distribution network page.

Name variants in the source data: Select, SELECT.

How 9,152 advisers split for Select

  • 75 advisers (12 firms): Their firm's disclosure statement names Select.
  • 3,554 advisers (279 firms): Their firm's disclosure statement does not name Select.
  • 5,523 advisers (2,132 firms): We hold no product panel for their firm, so we can't say.

Product panels are disclosed by the firm (FAP), not the individual adviser, and are AI-extracted from each firm's Public Disclosure Statement. A firm whose disclosure does not name Select may still arrange it, and the “can't say” group is firms whose disclosure we have not yet read. Counts cover individual advisers with a current FAP appointment on the FSPR.

How this list is built

Under New Zealand's Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, every Financial Advice Provider (FAP) must publish a Public Disclosure Statement under section 431 covering — among other things — the product providers they are appointed to distribute. FinanceAdvisersNZ mirrors these PDSes and parses the product-panel section into structured data.

For this page, we filter network_edges_mv to the edges where Select appears as a disclosed provider, resolve the FAPs at the from end of each edge, then enumerate the individual advisers currently appointed under each of those FAPs via the FSPR register.

Methodology + limits

  • Source: Mirror of NZ FAP Public Disclosure Statements filed under FMC Act 2013 s431, joined to the FSPR adviser–FAP appointment register.
  • Extraction: Product-provider names are extracted from PDS markdown by Claude (LLM-extracted, confidence tier C). Name variants are collapsed via a hand-curated alias list — see the parent /network/insurer/select page for the canonical variants merged into this slug.
  • Scope (HARD): Being on a FAP's product panel does not mean every adviser at that FAP personally advises on Select. Individual advisers may be scoped to a subset of their FAP's panel depending on licensing and specialty. This page lists everyone whose FAP-wide disclosure includes Select, not advisers verified to personally advise on it.
  • Coverage: FinanceAdvisersNZ has PDS data on file for ~107 of ~2,444 NZ FAPs (~4.5%) as of 2026-06-01. A FAP not listed here may still distribute Select — we simply do not yet have their PDS in our corpus.
  • Display cap: This page renders up to 100 advisers; pages with more advisers link out to the parent Select FAP roll-up.
