Who distributes what in New Zealand

Public mirror of NZ Financial Advice Provider (FAP) product panels, extracted from their FMC Act s431 Public Disclosure Statements. 460 product providers (insurers, banks, fund managers, finance companies) are currently listed across the panels of 62 NZ FAPs in our corpus.

Data current as of 2026-06-08. Coverage grows monthly as more PDSes are ingested.

Methodology

Each FAP's product panel is extracted from the panel/distribution section of their Public Disclosure Statement (a regulated document filed under section 431 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013). FinanceAdvisersNZ mirrors these PDSes; we are not the publisher of any FAP's PDS. For binding regulatory purposes always refer to the FAP's own current publication via their FSPR register entry.

Provider names are extracted by Claude (LLM-extracted, confidence tier C). We do not currently normalise spelling variants (e.g. "ASB Bank" vs "ASB" may appear as two entries) — a future data-quality pass will collapse duplicates.

Corpus coverage is ~10% of NZ FAPs (~51 of ~521). A product provider not listed here may still appear on NZ FAP panels — we simply do not yet have those PDSes in our corpus.
